It started as a wish. In 2003 travellers and entrepreneurs Laia Pinyol and Marc Conesa wanted to offer fellow travellers the type of comforting and modern accommodations they could never find during their many excursions. Accommodations that would enhance their trip and surround them in the comforts of home.
Their love of travel and interior design propelled them to scour Barcelona looking for the perfect apartments and flats. The wish came true and now www.barcelonastuff.com offers premium apartments for even the most discriminating of travellers. Laia and Marc are both natives of Barcelona and qualified to provide assistance with mapping out tours of the city that are off the beaten path or old school traditional jaunts. The pair have explored and worked in several countries including Japan, Austria, The United States and England. In addition to running Barcelonastuff Apartments they adore cycling and trekking. Over the past few years they’ve crossed Spain twice on their bikes. Marc has a passion for literature and aspires to publish a novel in the near future.Laia enjoys painting. She is also training for her first marathon this year. Their biggest accomplishment is their adorable toddler Roger. Travelling is a family affair and Roger usually accompanies them on their many journeys.
Marc holds a degree in engineering and spent ten years with Nissan. Laia holds a degree in Philology/Linguistics and has studied at Barcelona University and in Austria (Innsbruck).
Upon returning to Barcelona Laia worked as Spanish teacher for foreigners in different schools and also as a Mountain Guide for a popular adventure company. Laia is fluent in Catalan, Spanish, English and German. Marc is also fluent in Catalan, Spanish and English.
